The 12 Days of Christmas – Revisited

Well, here we are at the end of another year running a consulting business.

It's a time of year that I personally love. And who doesn't love the Christmas classics blasting out of every shop (since about October!).

Anyhow, I thought I'd bash together some Christmas lyrics of my own. Or, more precisely, borrow a traditional Christmas song and rework it in some kind of Frankensteinian way (I apologise in advance!).

Now, I did think about singing this, but as I haven't sung since I was in the school choir over thirty years ago, the risk of total annihilation of my mailing list as a result is a risk that I'm just not prepared to take!

Also, having never written a 'song' before (in fact, calling it a song might be over-blowing it a bit), the end result is a bit like one of those hymns you sing in church where the words just don't fit the music!

My Christmas song of choice: The 12 Days of Christmas - all be it through the lens of running a consulting business over 12 months.

As you read through it - and obviously hum the tune in your head - the one word that's in curly brackets is to be ignored on the first pass only, and the words in square brackets are to be sung on the the first pass only.

Enjoy!
